Deluxe Games Inc. (Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President and Representative Director: Youncheol Jung) has announced the official release of its new smartphone game app, “OUTRANKERS,” on Thursday, November 6, 2025.
To celebrate the official service launch, an “OUTRANKERS Completion Ceremony” was held in Tokyo the day before. The event featured the world premiere of the music video for the tie-up song, “風に舞う戦士,” which embodies the game’s worldview. Music Producer Tetsuya Komuro and the three-member female music unit “OVAL SISTEM” appeared as guests. They were joined by Game Producer Yoshiki Okamoto, the originator of the OUTRANKERS project, and spoke about the game’s development background, future plans, and the inspiration behind the music collaboration, generating great excitement among the attendees.

Shunichi Mine, Game Director at baobab game studios,Inc. then announced the post-release roadmap, which will follow a season-based structure with new content introduced approximately every seven weeks. Based on feedback received during the beta test, new content will be continuously added to ensure player enjoyment, including a new 9-player mode, multiple additional characters, stages, gear, and costumes.
Furthermore, Seisho Kawamoto, Promotion Producer at Deluxe Games Inc., announced fun activities designed to boost community engagement. As part of the effort to introduce the game—conceived as a competitive title everyone can enjoy—to a wider audience, these activities include special broadcasts on the official OUTRANKERS YouTube channel featuring popular streamers, illustration contests, and the hosting of offline events and fan meetings.

About OUTRANKERS
“OUTRANKERS” is a “scramble action battle” where three teams, each with a “three-person formation,” clash. The player’s objective is to gather the most “Elpis”—a valuable resource that appears in all situations—to bring victory to their team. Players engage in a thrilling, roughly three-minute battle where the final rank can be overturned at any moment due to cooperation, betrayal, and unforeseen “happenings,” all under the rule that “anything is allowed” to secure a victory.
The OUTRANKERS project was born from the YouTube video series, “Let’s Make a God-Tier Game,” featuring legendary creators. Yoshiki Okamoto, Noritaka Funamizu, and Akira Nishitani—known for creating legendary competitive fighting games that continue to be loved worldwide—are involved in the project, providing supervision and overall production. Their concept of a game enjoyable by people of all ages and genders was translated into the game design by the new generation development team, baobab game studios.

This song, newly written by Tetsuya Komuro with the world of OUTRANKERS in mind, is an ambitious work that merges the game’s sense of speed and thrilling battle scenes with a positive message of “fighting while looking forward.”
Tetsuya Komuro handled the lyrics, composition, and arrangement, expressing the worldview of OUTRANKERS. To deliver a positive message to the current generation, and as a testament to this cross-over of legendary content, the motif from the famous hit song “恋しさと せつなさと 心強さと” is used as a signature element in the track.

Born in Tokyo on November 27, 1958. A musician, music producer, lyricist, composer, arranger, keyboardist, synthesizer programmer, and mixing engineer. In 1983, he formed TM NETWORK with Takashi Utsunomiya and Naoto Kine, making their debut in 1984 with “Kinyobi no Lion.” As the leader of this unit, his musical talent blossomed early.
Since then, he has worked as a producer with a wide range of artists, creating a total of over 1,600 songs. He is a rare hitmaker whose total single sales in Japan rank in the TOP 5 for lyricist, composer, and arranger categories, with over 20 of his songs reaching million-seller status.
